This is a quaint restaurant in the heart of Mineola. It is beautiful inside and out. The food was fresh and delicious. I had dinner there and brunch and both experiences were great. Servers were friendly, service was fast and it was affordable.
Quite an amazing place. Went here on a random Wednesday night and could not have been more pleased. We had a selection of appetizers - artichokes, calamari, eggplant, and the star of the show - white pizza flatbread with overnight tomatos. Cocktails were also amazing with the curated wine list and cocktails such as the "Fall 75." Because of Blake and Grace's excellent service I cannot wait to come back! P. S. Excellent bar to sit at for an Italian restaurant!
Back again the next day for brunch. Amazing as usual. Rana the manager was wonderful. Couldn’t be nicer. The resturant is lucky to have her and we are lucky to be able to go to our favorite resturant and get consistently great food.
A Fantastic Dining Experience at Cala Luna! My recent visit to Cala Luna in Mineola was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The service was attentive without being intrusive, making for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. For our lunch meal, we had the Bronzino and the Linguine with Crabmeat, both of which were absolutely delicious. The Bronzino was perfectly cooked—tender, flaky, and full of flavor, complemented by a light and refreshing seasoning that let the natural taste of the fish shine. The Linguine with Crabmeat was a standout dish, with fresh, sweet crabmeat perfectly balanced by a flavorful, well-seasoned sauce that coated the pasta beautifully. Everything from the presentation to the taste was exceptional, and it’s clear that Cala Luna takes great pride in the quality of their ingredients and preparation. We finished our meal completely satisfied and already looking forward to our next visit! If you’re looking for a place that offers delicious seafood, outstanding Italian cuisine, and a warm, welcoming environment, Cala Luna is a must-visit in Mineola. Highly recommend!

Such an amazing experience. We came here for dinner and everything was delicious. We shared the meatballs as an app and they were so juicy. I had the Tuna and it was made to perfection. The rice it came with had a delicious flavor as well, not your typical rice. The cocktails were so tasty as well, I got the coconut margarita. Something I have never had before and will definitely get again. For dessert we have the flour less chocolate cake which hit the spot. The atmosphere was so nice and the service was great. Can’t wait to go back for another delicious meal.
This was a pleasant find in the midst of Mineola. They have brunch, lunch, and dinner and it seems to be served all day. I love the service. Our server didn’t look friendly at first but he did warm up and recommended the Porto pino flatbread and was having a chat with us towards the end. Our glasses of water were always filled. Never needed to ask to have it refilled. From the appetizers to the pancakes to the steak to the dessert, everything was superb and delicious. The calamari had just the right amount of salt on it. The Porto pino with pear, mascarpone, and pistachio pesto did not disappoint either. I can see why it’s a favorite of customers. The steak - even well done for my kid - was quite tender and I don’t eat steak well done. I was able to cut the steak with a butter knife. The mashed potatoes with steak was a great combination with each bite. Now to the dessert: never had to eat dessert with a steak knife but that’s what the napolean came with because it wasn’t something you can eat with your hands. The flourless chocolate cake was delicious as well. The bread pudding was warm and went well with gelato. I can’t not recommend this little restaurant because I will be revisiting to try their other dishes.
